BRIGID O’NEILLS AND KNOCKBRIDE TO CONTEST INTERMEDIATE DECIDER
This year’s AIB Intermediate final will be between Monaghan champions, Brigid O’Neills and Cavan side Knockbride.
The Monaghan outfit had a tough semi against Derry side Eoghan Rua. They led at the break by a single point, 0-6 to 0-5. The second half remained a cagey affair which BON’s securing victory 0-11 to 0-8.
Knockbride had no trouble overcoming Lisnskea. The Fermanagh champions were dealt a blow when full forward Caroline Kerins picked up an injury in the warm up which prevented her starting. The cavan champs dominated the first half and led 1-8 to 0-1 at the midway stage. It was much of the same in the second half with Knockbride going on to win 3-15 to 0-1. Abbi Connor was on fire scoring 1-7 while 16 year old wing forward Gia Mc Cabe hit four points from play.
The final will be part of a double header on Sunday 16th November.
