ULSTER INTERMEDIATE AND JUNIOR FINALS

Down were crowned Ulster Intermediate champions on Saturday with a 2-10 to 2-7 win over Fermanagh in Park Esler. Fermanagh to their credit pushed them all the way. Eimear Smyth scored 1-6 but the erne girls were to dependant on her for scores. Down had seven different players score including the MFC player of the match Aoibheann Mc Carvill who fired over 4 points and was a thorn in the Fermanagh side with her direct runs at the heart of their defence.

Meanwhile in Davitt Park Belfast Antrim proved much to strong for Derry winning 4-17 to 0-8. Emma Kelly who is only a few months in the job led the saffrons to a comprehensive victory over her native Derry.
