Ulster Final Saturday

Armagh v Monaghan

Clones 1-30pm

Despite the negativity associated with the corona pandemic the 2020 Ulster Senior final between Armagh and Monaghan will take place in Clones on Saturday.

Armagh will start as red hot favourites having just come up short against current All Ireland champions Dublin in the All Ireland semi final. Monaghan will have no fear of the orchard girls and will feel they owe them one having lost to them in the championship in the Athletic Grounds in June 2019.

The game will see some of the best forwards in the country will be in action.

So far in 2020 Armagh's Aimee has hit an amazing 6-22 however she is closely followed by Monaghan's Ellie Mc Carron with 6-21. And in case your thinking these sides are heavily reliant on this wonderful duo you would be wrong.

Orchard captain Kelly Mallon has scored 4-28 while veteran Caroline O Hanlon has contributed 4-20. Even more impressive is the scoring exploits of Blaithin Mackin. She has hit 5-12 - not bad for a centre back.

On the Farney side Cora Courtney has been excelling and has 2-22 to her name while midfielder Muireann Atkinson has fired 1-9.

One thing for sure tomorrow's final will should be a high scoring game. Defenders will need to be on their toes and you can catch all the action live on the BBC Website
