STRATEGIC PLAN 2019 TO 2022 LAUNCHED

WE ARE ULSTER

The ULGFA new strategic plan entitled WE ARE ULSTER was launched on Tuesday evening in Kelly’s Inn. The plan set targets for the development of ladies football in the province for the next four years.

In her welcome address Ulster Ladies President Eileen Jones said, “We are ulster Ladies is a strong strapline for a strong association. Our new plan focusses us in the direction in which we want our organisation to develop and grow”. Evidence of this growth and development was later delivered by Paddy Donnelly as he informed the gathering that as of 5-30pm on Tuesday the membership of ULGFA was just 8 shy of 23, 000.

After thanking everyone Eileen went on to say, “Our strategic plan for 2019 – 2022 runs hand in hand with our National Plan and together we are a stronger body but I believe that the secret of change is to focus all our energy not on fighting the old but together on building the new”.

Eamon Mc Mahon, the Secretary of the Ulster GAA Integration committee was also in attendance and was full of praise for the new plan saying, “This is a well- produced plan, straight forward, ambitious and achievable provided everyone works together”.

Finally ULGFA Administrator Ronan Mc Carthy took everyone through the plan. He started with a baseline and then went on to explain that 5 strategic focus areas had been selected. These were

1.       Passionate volunteer organisation

2.       Visibilty

3.       Growing participation

4.       Impactful partnerships

5.       Enhanced infrastructure

Ronan outlined key targets in each area and then distributed copies to each county in attendance. A copy of the plan will soon be available on the website www.ulsterladiesgaelic.com or alternatively you can contact Ronan
