Monaghan 0-13 Donegal 1-6

Monaghan came from 3 points down at half time to defeat Donegal in a tough Minor A final played today at the excellent Killyclogher. A goal from Katie Mc Clenaghan had helped the Tir Chonnail girls to a 1-3 to 0-4 interval lead.

In the second half Monaghan to their credit kept plugging away at the Donegal lead and midway through the second half wing back Lauren Gartlan equalised with a fine point. Gartlan then put the Farney side in front before Jane Drury who had a torrid time all day at long last found some space to send over a couple of late points. Monaghan went on to win the decider by 4. Hanna Sherlock punished some poor discipline by the Donegal defence with 7 points from frees.

In the first game Cavan proved too strong for Armagh winning 1-17 to 1-7
