Cavan Reach Div 2 Final

  • Apr 23,2018

It was a bad day at the office for Ulster sides at the weekend however Cavan did secure their place in the Division 2 final with a 1-8 to 0-8 win over Waterford. A goal from Catherine Dolan at the start of the second half was the crucial score. The Breffni side will now play in their second consecutive final, this time against Tipperary who pipped Armagh in the other decider. Blaith Mackin hit Armagh's fourth goal 19 seconds into the second half and the writing then looked on the wall for Tipp as they then trailed 4-3 to 1-3. But after a ding dust second half which seen late points from Aishling Moloney and Kate Davey Tipp went on to win 3-10 to 4-6.

In the Division 3 semi Down to no answer to a rampant Meath side who went on to win 6-17 to 0-3. It was a similar story in Division 4 as Wicklow overcame Antrim 7-13 to 0-8.
