All Ireland Club Semi Finals

Corduff of Monaghan have advanced to the All Ireland junior club final however St. Macartan's and Latton's seasons are over.

Corduff dug out a 4-8 to 2-10 victory over Cuala. After a tight first half the sides were level 1-5 each. In the second half Corduff roared on by a large vocal local crowd raced into a five point lead. In fairness to Cuala they managed to level matters however in the 55th minute Barbara Ward netted for Corduff and then an Elena Mc Eneaney point secure the two score win. In the All Ireland final they will meet Aghada of Cork.

St. Macartan's maiden assault on the senior championship was halted by an experienced Carnacon side. Cora Staunton  finished with 1-7 as the Mayo side booked their final spot against Mourneabbey of Cork. While the final score was 3-14 to 0-8 it didn't reflect the difference in the sides. St. Macartan's hit a large number of wides, Joline Donnelly hit the post and Linda Donnelly forced a goal saving dive from the Carnacon Keeper. Despite the loss its been a great season for the Augher outfit.

Latton came a cropper against a tough and experienced Dunboyne side who two years ago won the All Irleand junior final. Latton had a fine first quarter however once the Meath side got going there was no stopping them and they went in at the break leading 2-9 to 1-3. In the second half they added another 1-9 while the Farney champs failed to score.
