Latton and Crosserlough served up a thrilling game of football in this years Ulster intermediate club final with the Monaghan and 2016 junior champions Latton just edging the encounter by 2 points. Great credit is due to both teams for the manner in which they played and the quality of the football on offer.


Things were tight in the first half with Latton leading 1-8 to 1-5 at the break. Latton's goal came from Joanne Culleton who was a late replacement for Lisa Lennon. Crosserlough's major was scored by the very influential Ciara Finnegan who went on to pick up the player of the match award. 


In the second half Latton found the net twice more through Eimile Culleton and these strikes were to prove crucial as Latton went on to win by just two points. Ciara Finnegan was excellent for the losers notching 1-3 from centre forward. Corner forwards Muireann Cusack (1-3) and Lauren Mc Vitty (0-3) were both lively however Latton had seven different scorers and have Sinead Black to thank for a couple of crucial saves. The Monaghan side just about shaded the game on the day and now face a trip to England were they will face the British champions.
