Ticket sales are suggesting another record attendance at Sunday's TG4 All Ireland Finals. 'There are a lot of tickets sold at this stage', says LGFA President Marie Hickey. And, with tickets for adults priced at 25 Euro and concessions at 10 Euro, plus Group rates, Hickey reckons that the prices are 'a bargain, compared to what we've had for the past number of Sundays'.The Junior Final is between Derry and Fermanagh, while Tipperary and Tyrone will contest the Intermediate Final. This is a wonderful achievement and great for Ulster football. Next weekend is a free weekend as far as football goes. FEMALE SPORTS FORUM LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME The Female Sports Forum is delivering a Free Leadership Development Programme for female representatives from Governing Bodies of sport in Northern Ireland. The NGB should nominate an applicant and endorse their application. The applicant may be a member of staff or a volunteer who is committed to making a positive impact within their sport. Only one application per GB may be submitted. The applicant should complete sections 1, 2 and 5 of the application form and the GB representative should complete sections 3 and 4. GB’s with their own leadership programmes are not discouraged to apply, however preference may be given to those organisations who do have their own leadership programmes. There will be 12 spaces available on this course and candidates will be selected via an application process. The Leadership Development Programme topics will include: · Understanding self · Building your strengths – Understanding your network · Learning and managing change · Resilience for performance; planning my future · Developing and Implementing an impact project Candidates will be required to commit to all sessions and to identify a need for change within their sport/organisation. The candidate will also be expected to undertake a project to make a positive impact. The GB is encouraged to support the candidate to make this positive impact within the sport or organisation during and after the course. The course will run over five Sunday’s from October to March 2017. The dates are as follows: Sunday 22nd October Sunday 26th November Sunday 21st January Sunday 25th February March – TBC The course will take place in Belfast with the venue to be confirmed.
